To kick-off the 8th Annual Good Turn Week (GTW), the Canadian Red Cross has joined forces with Scouts Canada to offer a series of FREE first aid workshops for youth ages 9 to 16 years of age. On April 29th and 30th, youth are invited to sign up for one of sixteen workshops happening across the country. These workshops will provide youth with the confidence and skills to respond to an emergency — creating safer communities across Canada. The workshops are taking place in four major city centres across Canada, including Ottawa, Vancouver, Halifax (Dartmouth) and Mississauga.
The goal of the workshops is to provide first aid educational experiences to more Canadian youth at no cost, eliminating any barriers to safety training for youth. The end goal is empowered youth and safer households and communities across Canada.
