First Kings Cub Pack Food Drive
1st Kings Cub Pack, Kingston, Nova Scotia
By Matt Murchison
This Good Turn Week the 1st Kingston Cub Scouts are setting out to make a major impact on their local food banks. Working with Atlantic Superstore, T&S Signage and Greenwood Auto Sales, 1st Kingston hopes to amass food donations while strengthening their community ties.
The goal is to accumulate as much food as possible for the Kingston Food Bank. Taking place over the week of April 28th to May 2nd, the food drive will be housed out of the local Atlantic Superstore with shelter provided by Greenwood Auto. The Atlantic Superstore has also sponsored a shopping trip for the Cub Scouts that will add to the supply of goods being donated.
Everyone can help out this Good Turn Week by acting locally. Even the smallest actions can make a huge difference. You can donate food or even just hold a door open. For more information on how you can donate to your local food bank, visit: foodbankscanada.ca.
