St. Albert, Alberta
12th St. Albert Scout Group
By Brayden Pack
This Good Turn Week the 12th St. Albert Scouts are setting out to make a major impact on their local food banks. Working with Save-On-Foods North St. Albert, the 12th St. Albert Scouts hope to amass food donations as well as strengthen community ties through their Fill-A-Scout Trailer project.
The goal is to collect enough donations to completely fill a scout trailer and more! Taking place all day on April 30th there will be up to 60 youth participating from around the area. This event will help Scouts to become more aware of the economic needs in the community and learn how to better help those in need.
Everyone can help out this Good Turn Week by acting locally. Even the smallest actions can make a huge difference. You can donate food or even something as simple as holding a door open. For more information on how you can donate to your local food bank visit foodbankscanada.ca.
