"Scouts in the Community — Good Turn Week Care Packages" has grown from an idea developed by two Rovers into a Good Turn that will involve multiple Scouts and Scouters from Cascadia Council in British Columbia.
Scouts throughout the Council have already begun collecting important personal items that are often not accessible to those in need — socks, toothbrushes, deodorant, granola bars and other hygiene items. Care package assembly happens the morning of April 25th, and from there our members will descend on downtown Kelowna, distributing the packages to those in need. Leftover care packages will be donated women’s and men’s shelters in the community.
Good Turn Week is just one more opportunity for Cascadia Council to bring the Scouts Mission to life in an impactful way. When it comes to community caring, it starts with Scouts.
